Referees stopped the game, tossed the ball out, Rockets coach J.B. Bickerstaff moved something from the scorer’s table back to the Rockets bench, and the game resumed after a warning. Here, watch it.
After the game, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution confirmed that Millsap rejected the game ball immediately after Howard sprayed his hands and checked in. They caught up with Millsap and he told them how disconcerting it felt.
“I’ve never felt the ball like that ever,” Millsap said after the game. “It was sticky. It was like super glue or something was on there. I couldn’t get it off my hands. It was the weirdest thing ever.”
If you’re Dwight Howard in this situation, what’s the worst way to handle this?
Jonathan feigen said:Howard on his Stickum: "I don’t know why people are making a big deal out of it. I do it every game. It’s not a big deal. I ain’t tripping.”
