It features deeply personal lyrics about marriage and it also references allegations Jay Z cheated on her.
Beyonce belts out lines including: "Looking at my watch he should have been home / I regret the day I put that ring on."
But while the Beehive continue to take aim at anyone they think could be ‘Becky with the good hair’, sources close to the pair say they’re stronger than ever now.
"They definitely went through a rough patch a couple years ago, but they came out stronger in the end,” a source told People magazine.
In 2014 it was thought the pair were heading for a split after Bey’s sister Solange was seen attacking the rapper in a lift at the Met Ball.
Fans previously accused designer Rachel Roy, who is the ex-wife of Jay's former business partner Damon Dash, of having an affair with Jay Z – leading to the fight.
They've also accused Rita Ora, who signed to Jay Z’s label in 2008, of having an affair with the rapper.
The singer and X Factor judge was even forced to answer questions about the claims during a 2014 radio interview.
Appearing on Power 105.1's Breakfast Show she was asked if the rumours were true, to which she said: "Don't you dare disrespect Beyonce like that ever again in your entire life."
She added: "Yeah cause that's just straight up disrespect. You can't even go there, that's just not a question."
The 'Becky' controversy was sparked by the suggestive lyrics of Beyonce's new track Sorry, which appeared to discuss her partner's infidelity.
The mum-of-one opens with the spoken lyrics: "So what are you gonna say at my funeral now that you've killed me? Here lies the body of the love of my life whose heart I broke without a gun to my head."
She then sings about the identity of the other woman: "He better call Becky with the good hair.”
