Majority of British people find football more exciting than SEX, research reveals

More than half of men and women admit that watching football gets them more excited than having sex .

And we devote an hour more each week to footie than nookie – an average 3.5 hours compared to 2.1.

And more British put their football club in their top two sources of excitement than did their sex life (28%)
Perhaps tellingly, 57% of men get excited about sex, compared to just 39% of women.

Across both sexes, 56% say watching football is the moment or activity that gets them excited week to week, ahead of having a day out with family (51%), having sex (48%) and finding a bargain on a shopping trip (45%).

Britains also deemed their favourite football club as more exciting than their job.

When asked to rate the two aspects of their lives they found most exciting, nearly one in three (30%) chose their football club, compared to less than one in five (16%) who chose their job.

If given just an hour’s worth of time to spend doing something exciting, 30 per cent of British men say they would spend the time watching football, which is on par with those men who would spend that time with partner (32%).

Women are most excited about having a day out with their family (61%), finding a great deal (49%) and a night out with friends (46%).

Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Cristiano Ronaldo were found to be the most exciting footballers on the planet.
