Rihanna Signs $10m Makeup Deal
The agreement made with Luxury gruop, Kendo, will see the Barbadian launch her own ‘Rihanna makeup range, called Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, in the fall of 2017’.
Kendo is owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy - Louis Vuitton, the world’s largest luxury group. The Kendo house of brands presently includes: Marc Jacobs Beauty, Formula X, Kat Von D, Elizabeth and James Fragrances, Ole Henriksen and Bite.
David Suliteanu, chief executive officer of Kendo sounded confident that the 28 year-old is an undisputed chart topper so it’s a game of wins for Kendo, for Rihanna, and for her makeup collection.
"Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is a beauty rocket ship that will appeal to a huge and diverse global audience. We are aiming for the stars,” he said, after the deal was secured.
Kendo has given Rihanna the opportunity to play a key role in the further development of her brand.
This new offer, not forgetting the cash, gives Rihanna a perfect platform to be effective in the future development of all things Rihanna."
