Real Madrid Boss Zinedine Zidane Says He is "Happy" with Goalless Draw
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has claimed that he is "happy" with his team's 0-0 draw at Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday night.
Without Cristiano Ronaldo, who failed to overcome a thigh problem, Real Madrid struggled to carve out chances at the Etihad as the pair played out a goalless draw ahead of the return at the Bernabeu next week.
"Before this game it was 50-50. I think it's still the same, 50-50. I am happy overall," Zidane told reporters.
Meanwhile, the Frenchman said that he is 'hopeful' of having Ronaldo and Karim Benzema - who limped off at half-time - available for the second leg in the Spanish capital.
"We hope they can be better for the second leg. We have to take it day-by-day with the both of them," Zidane added.
Real Madrid will continue their La Liga challenge with a trip to Real Sociedad this weekend...
