Widespread reports have this morning claimed that Mamadou Sakho has no intention of arguing against the results of his recent failed drugs test.
It is thought that the 26-year-old tested positive for a banned fat burner after Liverpool's 1-1 draw against Manchester United in the Europa League on March 17.
By law, the defender was given until today to request the analysis of a B sample, but it is believed that he has rejected the opportunity.
Instead, the France international has decided to accept any punishment that UEFA decide to sanction.
There have been suggestions the Sakho will be handed a suspension ranging anything from six to 12 months.
