Lady Gaga shares a moment with Vice President Joe Biden during the It’s On Us rally on Thursday (April 7) at UNLV in Las Vegas.
The 30-year-old singer performed her Oscar-nominated song “Til It Happens to You” at the event, held during the “week of action” rally.
The It’s On Us initiative was launched by the White House in 2014 to raise awareness about the importance of preventing sexual assaults on college campuses and supporting survivors of sexual assault.
“What I’ve learned is that the most powerful form of feeling is compassion, so if you can simply be a friend to someone and truly listen, truly lend your ear, even if it’s hard or you don’t understand. You will be fulfilling the sense of loneliness that has stayed with me ever since the day I was abused,” Gaga said at the event.
