Celebrities Pay Tribute to Howard Marks after 'Mr Nice' Dies Aged 70


Celebrities have been paying their respects to 'Mr Nice' Howard Marks upon learning of his death.
The notorious drug smuggler turned author passed away aged 70 after a battle with bowel cancer.


Already tributes have been pouring in, with the likes of Tim Burgess and Edith Bowman offering kinds words about Howard.

Tim, lead singer of The Charlatans, tweeted: "A sad day. Howard Marks has died. What a story, what a life. Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night x x"

 While radio host Edith added: "Very very sad to hear the news about Howard Marks. Lucky enough to interview him a few times and never a sharper funnier mind did I meet."

Rockers Reverend and the Makers tweeted: "Probably fitting that I tweet this really. You will be missed Howard. See you on the next one pal."

While Rob da Bank, the founder of Bestival, wrote: "Very sad news that our mate and hero Howard Marks has died. An hilarious, beautiful and anarchic man who will be much missed X"
