Bauchi Governor urges Nigerians to bear with Buhari

– Governor Mohammed Abubakar says President Buhari should not be criticized for his trips – The Bauchi governor said the APC needs 16 years to develop the country Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi state has credited President Muhammadu Buhari with the recent rise in the price of oil in the world market and has suggested that the All Progressives Congress (APC) be allowed to spend 16 years in government. The price of oil rose up to $40 in the world market for the first time in a while surpassing the benchmark of the Nigerian budget that set in at $38 per barrel.

“People should not expect magic from APC. We are committed. You can see from the time we have taken over Power has improved and even oil, which price has been dwindling has started to pick up from the effort of Mr. President. “Well, let me say that it is unfair for the APC government to be judged this way. People have forgotten that the party that held sway before, held sway for 16 years and if there was any rot it took 16 years to build such rot,” Governor Abubakar said. He accused the Peoples Democratic Party of putting the country backward for 16 years and said the All Progressives Congress would also need 16 year to be in power in order to bring the country forward.

“So people should not be impatient. People should give us at least 16 years and see if we cannot be able to turn around all the rot that the PDP has done, but not to judge us in 9 or 8 months it is not fair. So, I am assuring Nigerians that we and the APC government at the centre are on course and we will deliver Insha Allah!”

The Governor assured that Buhari and all APC governors were working to reduce the over dependence on oil and move the country forwards. He said Buhari’s trips should not be criticised but rather applauded as they are meant to bring development to Nigeria.
